Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
Important: This Cookie Policy explains how Trivotix uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It is not legal advice. Have qualified counsel review it—and update the cookie inventory below—when you enable analytics, advertising, or other third-party tools.
1. Scope and related policies
This policy applies to cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, local storage, and SDKs) used on trivotix.com (the “Site”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Where this policy refers to “cookies,” similar technologies are included unless stated otherwise.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the Site function, remember preferences, understand usage, or support security. Cookies may be set by us (“first-party”) or by third parties (“third-party”).
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
3. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for core Site operation, security, load balancing, or consent storage. These do not require consent in many jurisdictions because the Site cannot function properly without them.
- Functional (optional): remember choices such as language or display preferences. Used only where enabled and, where required, after consent.
- Analytics (optional): help us understand how visitors use the Site (e.g. pages viewed, approximate geography, device type). Used only when enabled and, where required, after consent.
- Marketing (optional): used to measure campaigns or personalize advertising. We do not deploy marketing cookies unless explicitly enabled and disclosed below.
Current approach: we aim to avoid non-essential cookies until a consent mechanism is in place where required. When we add optional cookies, we will update this policy and the inventory in Section 5.
4. Legal bases and regional requirements
European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and ePrivacy rules (including PECR in the UK), strictly necessary cookies may be used without consent. Analytics, functional, and marketing cookies generally require consent before they are placed, unless a narrow exception applies. Where we use non-essential cookies, we will request consent through a cookie banner or preference center and honor your choices.
United States
State privacy laws (such as in California, Colorado, Virginia, and others) may give residents rights regarding personal information collected through cookies. We do not sell personal information collected via cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we expressly state otherwise and provide required opt-outs. See our Privacy Policy for rights requests.
Other regions
Local laws may require notice or consent for certain technologies. Where mandatory, we apply measures consistent with this policy and our Privacy Policy.
5. Cookie inventory
The table below lists cookies and similar technologies we use or may use. Names and lifetimes may change when vendors update their services—we will refresh this table when that occurs.
| Name / provider | Category | Purpose | Duration | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hosting / CDN (e.g. deployment provider) First or third party | Strictly necessary | Deliver Site content, security, and performance | Session / short-term | As required by infrastructure |
Consent preference (e.g. tv_cookie_consent) | Strictly necessary | Store cookie choices where a banner is implemented | Up to 12 months | After you save preferences in the banner |
| Google Analytics or similar | Analytics | Aggregated usage statistics | Per vendor policy | Not active unless listed in privacy notice and consented |
| Embedded social / video widgets | Functional / Marketing | Third-party content or sharing features | Per third party | Only if explicitly embedded on Site |
If you believe a cookie is operating without your consent where consent is required, contact us (Section 10) and we will investigate.
6. Third-party cookies and processors
Third parties may set cookies when their services are integrated into the Site (analytics, hosting, fonts, or social plugins). Those parties process data under their own policies. We require service providers to handle data only for specified purposes and under appropriate contractual terms where applicable.
When we enable a new third-party tool, we will identify it in the inventory above and, where required, obtain consent before non-essential cookies are set.
7. Consent and preference management
Where required by law, we will present a cookie consent banner or preference center allowing you to accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or read this policy for details. Your choice is stored locally (for example under tv_cookie_consent in your browser). You can also limit cookies through browser settings (Section 8). Strictly necessary cookies may still be used.
8. How to control cookies
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See help documentation for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, or your mobile browser.
- Industry opt-outs (US): the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) offer opt-out tools for interest-based advertising where applicable.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): where we are required to honor opt-out preference signals for sale/sharing of personal information, we will process GPC signals in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
Blocking all cookies may impair Site functionality.
9. Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT. We treat statutory opt-out mechanisms (such as GPC where applicable) as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not currently respond to all DNT signals in the absence of a legal requirement to do so.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change technologies, vendors, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Check this page periodically; material changes may be highlighted on the Site.
